CC Shard Betting Game
Anyone remember?
I think I remember from last year some kind of betting game with the candy cane shards, but the wiki wasn't very specific about it... Is the game a figment of my imagination, did I have to much spiked eggnog last year ? Or does the game exist? Going for my lucky/unlucky titles now and would hate to miss an opportunity for points . Thanks for any help, |

You are thinking of the finale I believe.
The "9 rings" of Wintersday. Where either Dwayna or Grenth wins, decided by the amount of Candy Cane Shards. |

This is my first Wintersday event. Could someone post a quick overview of what to do during the finale? Please do not post a link to the official wiki website since I can not pull it up here at work. From what I have read on the subject you just stand in certain even or odd # districts at the given time. Is that all you do? Do you just stand there with all the shard in your inventory or is there something you need to do with them? If there is a link to good description on another website (other than the official wiki) then please post it since I can get all the other websites here at work. Thanks

During the finale...every 3 hours...usually every even dist is a dwayna and odd is grenth...Depending on which god u choose you go to that side. (it will be quite obvious) You stand in the rings and they take some of your shards
which ever side has the most shards from the people wins. Like i said the players have set it up so that everyone wins depending on district....There are 2 different hats....1 for grenth and one for dwayna i think last year kamadan and LA had same hats for each god....thats all i can remember....if this is confusing....its 645 in the mornin for me ;( |

Folks, check the dates - this thread is from Dec. 2008. It stands to reason that the OP is no longer checking this thread for answers.
I think so, yes. If you stand in the rings with shards in inventory, then you get lucky/unlucky points as you win and lose them. You do not have to have shards nor stand in the rings to get the hats though. Once a deity wins, everyone in that district gets the winning deity's hat and a few wintersday gifts from the finale. At least, that's how it worked in years past. |
